Large Medieval Gilt Bronze Brooch. Circa, 13th century AD. Copper-alloy, 13.28 grams. 38.19 mm. A heavy and very robust annular brooch in the form of a heart, the face of the brooch is moulded in a barely twist / rope style and retains much of its original heavily gilt surface.
