Roman blue cotton reel glass Unguentarium. Circa 2nd-3rd century CE. 101mm x 91mm. Formed of a shallow but wide domed body which sits upon a concave base. The shoulders taper in to a cylindrical neck with a wide flared rim. Beautiful iridescence covers the entire piece. Ex old English collection, property of a deceased estate.
