Silver thimble. Circa, 18th century AD. Silver, 4.0 grams. 18mm x 17mm. A short two piece thimble with its surface covered in small annulets and decorate with a rope type band around the base, above is a band of floral motifs, to the front is a cartouche supported by a bird on either side. Ref:Read, B. 2018: Metal Sewing Thimbles Found in Britain, Figure 28. Slightly squashed around the opening.
