Medieval enamelled Limoges Saint Figurine. Circa 12th-13th century AD. Copper-alloy, 8.66 g. 44.60 mm. A mount from a casket or cross in the form of a male figure. The body is decorated with a series of red, blue and white enamelled cells. Some of the original gilt surface survives at the base and neck, the head is well formed with traces of black enamel in the eyes and mouth.
