£2,900
Iron Age gold penannular bracelet. Circa 1st century BC. 64.01g. 87.57 mm. A solid heavy high carat arm ring / bracelet with flared terminals, each having a beaded collar. The terminals are very worn and one has had a sample of metal removed. We believe that this was done to test the gold after its discovery. The family who own the piece have limited information but, its believed the piece was found in the 1970's. Similar examples can be seen in the Winchester Hoard, A ritual deposit discovered in 2001.
