Roman boar terminal. Circa 1st-2nd century CE. Copper-alloy, 211g. 121mm. An impressive, large bronze terminal in the form of a boar. The piece is formed of a curved bar that widens to join the forepart of the boar with a suspension loop below. Most likely a lamp hanger from a large stand with multiple arms. From an old English collection, believed to have been originally found in Lincolnshire and purchased from a suffolk based dealer 2001.
