Roman Gold Ring set with Greek coin. Circa 1st-4th century AD, the coin being electrum and c. 4th -3rd century BC. 3.94g. 22.63 mm. UK ring size, K; US size 5.5. A solid D-sectioned band crowned with a square-shaped bezel. The bezel is tapered on the underside and domed on top with a raised circular collar. At the centre is a setting containing a small ancient Greek electrum coin struck with two incuse rectangles containing a pellet. From a private UK collection, ex Everson.
