Medieval pilgrims ampulla. Circa 15th century CE. Lead-alloy, 59g. 59mm. Attributed to the shrine at Walsingham. Pouch-shaped with suspension loops at the base of the neck. Decorated on one side with a crown and on the other, a flower of six petals within a circular panel. Ref: Mitchiner, p.145.
