Medieval Gold Posy Ring. Circa 13th-15th century AD. Gold, 2.01g. 17.5 mm. Ring size: UK, K. US, 5.5. A beautifully engraved piece decorated with sprigs of foliage and five-petalled flowers separating a black letter inscription which reads 'a ma vye'. This translates from French to 'to my life'. The upper and lower edges of the band are decorated with a scalloped border. Ref: C.C. Oman, Victoria & Albert Museum, Catalogue of Rings 1930. p.68, no. 266. Recorded and disclaimed under the  treasure act. Ref: 2021 T685.
