Light Coinage, 1464-1470. 36mm, 7.71g. EDWARD DI GRA REX AnGL Z FRAnC DnS IB, Crowned king in ship with rose on hull, holding sword and shield displaying Royal Arms, flag with E at stern. R. IhC AVT TRAnSIEnS PER MEDIVM ILLORVM IBAT. Central sunburst in cross with lis at end of each arm and, crowned lion passant in angles, all within a tressure of eight arcs with trefoils in spandrel. Mint mark crown. Ref: N.1549. S.1950.

One of two gold ryals discovered together a short distance from the site of the Battle of Bosworth Field. Recorded with the PAS: LEIC-151EAE and reported as potential treasure before being disclaimed. Treasure reference 2021T232. https://finds.org.uk/database/artefacts/record/id/1026323
