Anglo-Saxon silver dress hook. An elaborately decorated silver dress hook, the body comprised of a large circular element with a sub-triangular zoomorphic head below, the snout of which is turned under to form the sharp hook. The decoration is inlayed with niello, which is mostly intact. 9th - 10th century AD. 29mm x 16mm, 3.1g. Recovered during pre-development survey work in the 1990's, see attached images.
