Medieval St George Iconographic Tau cross pendant, 15th century AD. A large gilt-bronze pendant in the form of a Tau cross with finely engraved icons on each face. One face depicts St George wearing armour and spearing the dragon whilst the other face depicts the crucifixion of Christ. Much gilt inlay survives within the engravings. The original loop for suspension is missing from the centre of the top edge. 47mm x 39mm x 2mm.
